Camp Cook
It's the fourth of July and as the rest of the world celebrates summer and the holiday, I am sitting in the dark planning meals for my cowboy. I am headed to Bondurant, Wyoming for 10 days of this new kind of living. I have spent the last many years shopping at Dillards, riding in a BMW, eating at fine resturants.. the city girl lifestyle. I am trading in my DKNY and expensive perfumes for boots and horses.
I am hired as camp cook for a "Dude Ranch" called Darwin. I'm not nervous about the cooking, the menu is Steaks, Pork Loin, a fish fry if I am successful on my fly fishing endevour, spaghetti, chili................. easy fixings. I am nervous about the hours on horseback getting there!
